I got to see yet another old and dear friend, Doris, and met her hubby and kiddos, while on a work trip to Pittsburgh! A big benefit of my work trips!
I have such great friends in Rochester. Beth and Adam delivered a meal for me because of a sprained ankle. We celebrated Jennifer’s birthday with an awesome night of Taboo and Cards Against Humanity. Love how we have a growing list of inside jokes that we can fill the blank cards with!
Had to share this link for a little shout-out to Rochester! (thanks Jeff!)
I got called in to help with some technical problems for work at one of their tents in the International Jazz Festival today. Despite it being: last minute (as in – “can you come here and help us in 3 hours?!), an emergency, the weather being really hot and humid, I still found ways to have fun!
The Booth: it was a 360-degree camera stand. 52 cameras, set up in a circle, will all simultaneously take your picture at the exact same time. If you ever seen the “Glam Cam” taking 360-degree pictures of movie stars all arriving on the red carpet at award shows like the Oscars or the Golden Globes, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Those pictures then are all stitched together into a “movie”. Inside the same booth, after having your picture taken, you move on to a series of iPad kiosks and you can see your own 360-degree picture! On top of that, if you chose to donate $5 to the Jazz Scholarship Fund – you can opt to have a flip book or a large poster printed out. Pretty cool!
Of course… I had to give it a go!
At the end of the day, after closing up the booth for the night, a couple of us workers decided to go take a group shot: http://jazzcambemoved.com/#1
